The rooms were well cleaned and had amazing views. It had great location just off a hillside with lovely views of Zuheros, a converted monastery set in the heart of olive groves and the mountains and hills and even the castle in Zuheros, about 2km away. The hotel met the demands, I will be back.

I had a truly magical experience at Minerva Magic! The breakfast buffet was generous and delicious, especially the coffee. The outside balcony provided a breathtaking view for a serene morning breakfast. The location was perfect for my bike ride along the via verde. The room was spacious, clean, and had a touch of charm from the old olive mill. The massage and Arab bath experience was absolutely excellent and truly magical!

Historic preservation of a tradition (olive oil processing) that is still important part of the Spanish economy and the spectacular setting.

We enjoyed the very good dinner and restaurant.
Breakfast was below standard - nothing left after the hoard of bike tourist had been there! Breakfast room was not very nice, nor clean.

Free parking and delicious breakfast with lovely wine. Close enough to a sloping hill, an old railway transformed to a biking and walking trail, and the valley and scenic white washed villages.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a lovely bedroom overlooking a very pretty courtyard. The food is excellent, and a little pricy, but you do get a lot of it. We could say a lot more but so many nice things have already been said by other visitors comments.......loved it!

Middle of the countryside and very relaxing after staying in big cities. We were upgraded to a 2 rooms suite for 3 people and that was very comfortable. Diner was excellent and the dining room was very nice looking like in old farm. Breakfast was average but nice and friendly service and beautiful view under the sun on the terrace
Breakfast was average in terms of ingredients. Were expecting more family or countryside style of food, in line with the whole hacienda outlook

A charming and unique hotel set in a beautiful location. We overnighted there en route from Cordoba to Granada and very much enjoyed the experience.
Would recommend that menus be translated into both English and French as several guests didn't understand Spanish and didn't know what food to order. Linguistic skills of hotel staff were also lacking. There was also some confusion about ordering wine during dinner. Breakfast choices were also extremely limited and didn't compare with other hotels. Nevertheless, it was a delightful and enjoyable stay.

a wonderful stay. if we were to come this way again, we would stay here and go by car to visit Cordoba, Granada and Sevilla, using this hotel as a base. But don't miss the surrounding small towns!

Close to cycling and walking track. Superior class food choices. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Valuable bird nesting. Swimming pool with stunning views.
Everything great.

Excellent location, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful setting and surroundings, good food in the restaurant, swimming pool (we were alone most of the time at the pool which was lovely!), bike hire available, the hacienda has been excellently restored, the tavern and library add something special, staff were mostly friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable
Twin beds instead of a double, the track down to the hacienda from the road needs to be surfaced, television only had 1 channel, no computers available for guests

The question really is, what wasn't good? We ate twice in the restaurant and the food was absolutely fantastic, each bite and flavor were an experience. Though people indeed only speak Spanish, it's really not a problem at all, the staff is very professional, helpful and nice. It's the perfect place if you want to unwind, relax, and enjoy the fabulous views over hundreds and hundreds of olive trees. Also great pool. Room very clean and thought through while decorating. we read bad comments about the breakfast, but it was pretty decent.
nothing related to the hotel itself...you do need to realize that there is really hardly anything around that you can do, unless u like to bike, read, relax or swim....but we might have also picked the wrong small towns around zuheros to visit...

The location is secluded but the restaurant offers fantastic, innovative dishes, the pool is nice, and there is a great authentic bar for cold drinks.
